Our team has many years of expertise both working for financial investors and working in public and EU institutions.

We have many years of experience working on the impact of political/geopolitical and regulatory risks on the financial markets as well as on EU affairs, including having worked in, and with, the EU Institutions both at the highest political levels and technical levels. This includes extensive experience working with the European Commission, the European Parliament, EU competition authority, DG Competition on mergers and acquisitions, state aid and anti-trust proceedings, and on the regulatory/legislative process within the EU.

We also have many years of experience working with financial investors, including leading private equity firms, hedge funds, large asset management firms, sovereign wealth funds, and investment banks as providers of research and insight to help financial investors develop their investment strategies.

We are a boutique investment advisory and research firm based in London and Brussels. We work with financial investors on a range of issues.

- Helping private equity firms and the private equity arms of pension funds and sovereign wealth funds to source deals, purchase divestments arising out of EU merger control and identify joint venture partners for special situations. We also advise on how to work with the EU regulatory and competition authorities to get the outcome you need.

- Helping hedge funds and other asset management firms by providing real time advice on merger control proceedings to maximise merger arbitrage opportunities, value-based activist strategies and other trading strategies e.g. bond purchases.

- Helping investment banks by providing accurate and insightful client notes as well as information about potential divestments arising out of EU merger control and linked asset auctions.

- Helping financial investors by providing in depth insight into political, regulatory and policy developments and how these will concretely impact investment strategies.

- Working with financial investors to engage with governments, particularly the EU institutions on issues of interest to them.
